If you're trying to minimize as much vibration as possible you'll likely end up on a blue compression elastomer and yellow rebound with the elastomer nut backed off to the 2nd or 3rd thread

Snug the bolt so the guard can be moved yet stay in place without holding it

If you get these mixed up and run two compression elastomers on each side your bar will be extremely stiff and not perform as it should

For gen 4 we went to one standard crossbar length for everything

Straight Crossbars are for riders not running a steering damper
