A Superb George III Period Chip Carved Treen Salt Box, Dated to 1795 sub-Antiques is half glass and halfOrigin: English Period: Late Eighteenth Century Provenance: Unknown Date: c. 1795 Width: 9 inches Depth: 7. 5 inches Height: 4 inches The rectangular box and cover inscribed with 1795 with the initials JJS(?), with applied floral lozenge motifs to the side panels with further chip carved decoration and nulling to the front and back. The condition is structurally sound, the whole is almost entirely original and with a very fine colour and patination.
