The fire happened on January 10, 1950 and the temperature was 40C. (1998. 35. 33 to 1998. 35. 37) One of the nurses died in the fire. Everyone else was rescued. Bill Bushell's recollection of the fire is on page 10 of the Klondike Sun Thursday July 24, 1997 edition.
